Very Thin Minute-Repeater Cartier, case No. 3115. Made circa 1920. Very fine, very thin and elegant, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold and enamel keyless dress watch. Accompanied by a Cartier box. Three-body, “bassine pincée”, polished, the back cover with a central blue champleve enamel monogram “JL” within a circle. Matte silver with large champleve Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. 18’’’, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, straightline lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial signed Cartier, case numbered 3115. Diam. 49 mm.
