Very fine and rare, 18K pink gold and painted on enamel, keyless pendant watch made for the Grand Tir (shooting) prize at the Exposition Nationale, Geneva, 1896. Four-body, bassine et filets, polished with reeded edges, trefoil pendant, the back cover decorated with a finely painted on enamel view of Lac Leman in an engraved gold cartouche with the coat of arms of Geneva at the lower edge, blue translucent enamel border. Hinged gold cuvette engraved “Grand Tir de L’Exposition Nationale, Geneve 1896”. Off-white enamel with blue radial Arabic numerals, outer silver dot minute indexes and gold five-minute indexes. Gold Louis XV hands. 11’’’, frosted gilt, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 31 mm.
