Grande & Petite Sonnerie Clockwatch Geo. Oram & Son, 19 Wilmington Square, London, No. 19/517, the movement attributed to Louis Audemars. Made circa 1890, the case with London hallmarks for 1914- 1915. Very fine and extremely rare, large and heavy, trip minuterepeating, 18K yellow gold, keyless, hunting cased, two-train clockwatch with Grande and Petite Sonnerie striking, Willis dial and thief-proof bow. Four-body, massive, "pomme et filets", by JW & Co. & Frederick Thoms, (master marks), polished, spring loaded front cover, protected hand-setting button, thief-proof swivel bow. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel by Willis, inscribed “EVF, 1904”, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 20’’’, frosted gilt, 3/4-plate, twotrain with differential winding beneath the dial, jewelled to the third wheel with screwed gold chatons, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature adjustment screws, double-over-coiled blued steel Breguet balance spring, diamond endstone, index regulator, striking on gongs and repeating activated by a trip-slide on the band, Silent/Strike and Quarters/Full Strike selection levers on the edge of the bezel.
