18K White Gold Prince Brancard Jump Hour Rolex "Prince Brancard", movement No. 75630, case No. 2149HS, Ref. 1491. Made circa 1930. Very fine and extremely rare, jump-hour, rectangular curved, flared, 18K white gold wristwatch. Two-body, flared, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, stepped sides, recessed winding crown. Two-tone silver with painted Arabic numerals for the minutes, subsidiary seconds, aperture for the jump-hours in red Arabic numerals on a silver ground. Blued steel Moderne hands. Notes Ref. 1491 and 1491 HS. Produced in solid silver, in stainless steel, stainless steel and gold, in 9K, 14K, and 18K gold, in 9K, 14K and 18K two-colored gold, and in platinum. Prince Brancard The Prince Brancard model is certainly the most elegant wristwatch among the form watches: rectangular, flared and slightly curved to fit the wrist well. The first Prince Brancard models -Ref. 971, 971A, 971 U and 1490- were produced from 1929 to 1935; the platinum model is undoubtedly the most soughtafter Prince wristwatch and it is interesting to note that the sale price of this watch was 65 £ in 1929.
