Yellow Gold Constellation Omega, “Constellation, Automatic Chronometre, Officially Certified”, movement No. 12722881, case No. 11149431, Ref. 2648SC. Made in 1953. Fine, center-seconds, self-winding, 18K yellow gold chronometer wristwatch. Accompanied by the original Omega box and Bulletin de Marche dated 25 March, 1953. Two-body, polished and brushed, flat bezel, concave lugs, snap-on case back with embossed Constellation logo. Two-tone silver honeycomb with applied yellow gold faceted dart indexes, applied logo to the upper and star to the lower sections. Yellow gold dauphine hands. Cal. 352, copper-colored, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions and to temperature, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator, bumper rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 10 mm. Notes The present watch is a fine original example with unrestored honeycomb dial, it is very unusual for the original Bulletin de Marche to survive for this model. According to the Bulletin de Marche, the difference between the mean daily rate and any individual rate was 7.9; variation of rate per 1 degree Centigrade was –0.20 and rate resuming –4.
