Quarter-Repeater Patek, Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 124679, case No. 232881. Made for L.M. Lilpop, Warsaw, Poland, in 1903, sold on December 21st, 1903. Extremely fine and very rare, quarter-repeating, 14K yellow gold, hunting cased, keyless pocket watch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Five-body, “lentille”, polished. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the retailer’s details. Matte gilt, champlevé Breguet numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds, engine-turned center. Blued-steel spade hands. Notes Quarter repeating watches by Patek Philippe are rare, the majority being minute repeating. As the present watch was made on special order for L.M. Lilpop this is likely to be the reason it was made with quarter repeating and consequently is much rarer.
