Diamond Stars Patek Philippe & Co. , A Geneve, No. 4740. Made circa 1852. Very fine and extremely rare, 18K gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond-set hunting cased lady’s pendant watch. Four-body, both covers overlaid with translucent royal blue enamel and set with rose-cut diamond-set stars, the front cover with a central large diamond star, engraved borders and bow, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with engineturned border. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. 14 ½’’’, frosted gilt, bar calibre, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed. Diam. 38 mm. Notes It is very unusual to find such an early Patek Philippe watch with such sumptuous decoration and in such good original condition.
