Miniature Carriage Clock with Porcelain Panels French, No. 2443. Made circa 1890. Fine, miniature, gilt brass, 8-day going carriage clock with painted on porcelain panels. Gilt brass, "anglaise", fluted columns, the sides set with painted on porcelain panels depicting a young lady filling her jug at a fountain and a young lady feeding the chickens, glazed back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. Painted on porcelain with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, decorated with a landscape to match the sides. Blued steel hands. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, barrel for the going train, cylinder escapement mounted on a matte silvered platform, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 78 x 53 x 49 mm. excluding handle.
