Fine and rare, silver, 8-day going, half-Grand Sonnerie striking and minute repeating carriage clock. Accompanied by the original box Rectangular, polished, hinged back door, bun feet, hinged scroll handle. Circular white enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel spade hands. Rectangular matte gilt brass plates, going barrels for the going and striking trains, straight-line lever escapement on a matte gilt platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance with temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on two gongss with two hammers, silence button in the base. Notes 193) The striking may be termed "halfgrande sonnerie" because the hours are struck on the hour, and the hours and quarters only on the half hour and not at each quarter as is usual in a grande sonnerie clock.
