Swiss – Dans le Boudoir Swiss, No. 5557. Made circa 1750. Very fine and rare, Louis XV, varicolored gold pocket watch with painted on enamel concealed erotic scene. Three-body, Louis XV, the bezel chased with a repeated design, hinged back cover decorated with a pastoral trophy, opening to reveal the inner dome and painted on enamel scene of a couple in their boudoir, engraved border. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals. Pierced gold hands. 33 mm., matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental pierced and chased cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial.
