Swiss – 100th Anniversary of the Grand Conseil Vaudois Swiss, "Liberte et Patrie, 1803-1903", case No. 1025. Made circa 1903. Fine and elegant, 18K gold and painted on enamel lady’s keyless pendant watch. Four-body, entirely engraved, the back cover decorated with a finely painted on enamel scene of Liberty and a Vaudoise girl holding a scroll, Swiss alpine lake view with opalescent sky, engraved foliate border, 1803-1903 in black champleve enamel. Hinged metal cuvette. Off-white enamel, radial blue Roman numerals, outer gold minute divisions. Gilt Louis XV hands. 10 ½ ’’’, matte gilt, bar caliber, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 28 mm. Notes This watch was made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first meeting of the Grand Conseil Vaudois on 14th April 1803.
