Mazurier - The Water Pump Mazurier à Paris. Made circa 1760. Fine, Louis XV, 18K varicolored gold and painted on enamel pocket watch with calendar. Two-body, "Louis XV", engraved with a scene of a boy at a water pump by a cottage, painted on enamel background with ladies and gentleman in a landscape, the front bezel chased and engraved with flowers and scrolls. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals, inner calendar numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. 38 mm, hinged, gilt brass full plate, pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, steel three-arm balance with flat spring, continental cock pierced and engraved with scrolls, polished steel endplate, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate. Movement signed. Diam. 47 mm.
