IWC – Silver Digital Pocket Watch with Painted Enamel Dial International Watch Co. , Schaffhausen, Swiss, No. 8473. Made circa 1890. Fine and very rare, silver and painted on enamel, keyless pocket watch using J. Pallweber's English Patent No. 5863, from 8 December 1882 for digital jump-hours and minutes. To be sold without reserve Black enamel finely painted en grisaiile with Time’s winged chariot drawn by doves, apertures for hours and minutes. Notes This watch is a particularly rare example of a Pallweber patent digital watch with a very finely painted on enamel dial.
