Tudor submariner Ref. 7923 Tudor “Oyster, 100m/330ft”, case No. 217912, Ref. 7923. Made circa 1955. Very fine and rare, center seconds, water resistant, stainless steel diver's wristwatch. To be sold without reserve Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown without guard, black graduated bidirectional revolving bezel for the decompression times. Black, with luminous round, triangular and baton indexes, outer minute track. Luminous steel skeleton hands. Cal. 1156, 10 ½ ’’’, copper-colored, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Thickness 11 mm. Notes Reference 7923 was the first and only manually-wound Tudor Submariner ever produced. Coming between the other 2 self-winding models, the Tudor 7922 and well-known big crown reference 7924. Based on caliber ETA 1156 (21 jewels), it is certainly the rarest of all Tudor Submariners, produced in very small quantities, probably as a test, as the five examples known are all only a few serial numbers apart.
