Very fine and rare, large, "carré galbé", self-winding, water resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with date, and a stainless steel Patek Philippe "Nautilus" bracelet with deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original cork box, outer box, Certificate of Origin and instruction booklet. Two-body, polished and brushed, bezel engraved with initials CB, sapphire crystal. Anthracite with horizontal stripes with Willy Engal, Swiss written on the dial, applied luminous steel baton indexes, dot minute divisions, aperture for the date. Luminous steel baton hands. Cal. 28-255 C, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 36 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Glucydur Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, 21K gold rotor segment. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 42 x 44 mm. Thickness 7.5 mm. Approx. overall length 165 mm. Notes According to the consignor, Willy Engal was a watchmaker for Patek Philippe. He had his name inscribed on two Jumbo Nautilus dials for both his sons and had the bezels engraved with their initials. It is extremely rare to find a Patek Philippe watch that bears the name of one of their watchmakers instead of a retailer's name.
