English, late 19th/ early 20th century. A sterling silver repoussé combined dresser set decorated with ornate scrollwork and classical scenes of wingless putti and cupids at play in heavenly and garden scenes. Set comprises of a hairbrush dated to the 1880's by John & William Deakin (Chester/ England, 1866-1940), marked on the edge with maker's mark, city, and date mark, approximately 9.5" long x 3.25" wide; a clothes or shoe brush dated to 1909 by W. J. Myatt & Co. (Birmingham/ England, 1895-?), marked on the edge with maker's mark, city, and date mark, approximately 7 1/8" long x 2 3/8" wide; and an unmarked hand mirror measuring 11.25" tall x 6.5" wide. Pieces appear to be stylistically nearly identical but there may be some minor design differences given the different manufacturers.
