French Automobile Vanty Set with Watch French, probably Paris. Made circa 1925. Fine and rare, silver, enamel, glass and crocodile vanity set for a motor car set with a keyless watch. To be sold without reserve Angled rectangular with flat back and two brackets for mounting, silver edge, maker’s mark JM, containing a cut glass perfume bottle with silver and enamel lids decorated in imitaion of lapis lazuli, two jars to match, bevelled mirror with silver and enamel frame, the front set with a watch with octagonal bezel. Champagne with black radial Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel spade hands. Frosted gilt, straight-line lever escapement, uncut balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 21.5 x 6.5 x 7.3 cm.
