Robert Cart – Two Color Gold Jump Hour Dress Watch with Zodiac Signs Robert Cart, Genève, retailed by Robert Pleissner, Dresden, movement No. 15316, case No. 50404. Made to Swiss patent Dm54197, circa 1924. Very fine and very rare, Art Deco, “Chronoscope”, 18K yellow and white gold, keyless jump hour dress watch with enameled Zodiac sign bezel and a 14K yellow and white gold fob. To be sold without reserve Three-body, bassine pincee, polished and brushed, bezel with green enamel divisions and black enamel signs of the zodiac, case back with green enamel divisions on the yellow gold border, applied gold monogram “HWT”. Silver with sunray engine turned center, aperture for the jumping hour at 12, outer ring with black Arabic numerals for the minutes indicated by a wondering transparent crystal triangle pointer. 17’’’, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Case and movement signed, movement and dial signed by the retailer. Diam. 46 mm.
