Lady’s Early Steel Reverso - Black Dial Tavannes Watch Co. for Jaeger-LeCoultre, "Reverso", movement No. 6101, case No. 25374, Ref. 651. Made circa 1931. Fine and very rare, rectangular, reversible, stainless steel lady’s wristwatch. To be sold without reserve Three-body, polished, angled lugs, reeded upper and lower bezel with reeding continuing to the back. Black with sand-colored baton indexes. Epée hands. Tavannes Cal. 051, tonneau-shaped, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 4 adjustments, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Reverso, case punched “Patents Appl. for”. Dim. 16 x 33 mm. Thickness 7 mm. Notes Jaeger-LeCoultre used the Tavannes caliber 064 for men’s watches and the caliber 050 & 051 for lady’s watches during the early production of the Reverso watch.
