Jaeger-LeCoultre – Calendrier de la Chasse Jaeger-LeCoultre, Ref. 399. Made in the 1960s. Fine and extremely rare, 8-day going table clock with hunting season calendar and paintings of game. Two-body, circular, polished bezel, bushed reeded band, the back with 8-screws, tapered and flat base. Off-white chapter ring with polychrome printed portraits of various game animals: wild boar, curlew, hare, ptarmigan, fox, hawk, badger, mallard duck, roe deer, partridge, stag and pheasant, applied gilt faceted dart indexes, inner brushed gilt ring engraved with the months, brushed gilt center divided into 12 sectors corresponding with the months, each sector with the names of those animals in season for hunting that month. Gilt brass baton hands. Cal. JLC 222, 43 mm., rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self compensating flat balance spring, index regulator.
