Fine and rare, gilt-brass, champlevé enamel and paste-set, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking table clock. Accompanied by a carved ebonised base, glass shade and a carved wood and marble table stand in the Chinese taste. Rectangular, multi-piece, gilt-brass, champlevé enamel decorated columns at each corner and four further columns to the sides, eight small finials and central gilt and champlevé enamel urn finial, champlevé enamel toupie feet. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, the bezel set with blue and white pastes. Steel halberd hands. Circular gilt-brass, spring barrels for both trains, anchor escapement, brass bob pendulum set with a central champlevé enamel panel surrounded by blue and white pastes, regulation nut, striking on a coiled gong.
