Chinoiserie Flacon de Parfum French, retailed by Charles Chevalier, Palais Royal 165, Paris. Made circa 1835. Very fine and rare, “vase d’or chauffert”, 18K gold and champlevé enamel perfume flask with finger ring. Accompanied by the original goldtooled red morocco fitted box. Notes The original fitted box for this very beautiful and delicate perfume flask has a label inscribed “Au Vase d’or Chauffert, Joailler Bijoutier, Palais Royal, No. 165”. Between 1804 and 1859, Charles Chevalier had his boutique at 165, Palais Royal.
