Swiss – Pearls & Diamonds Swiss, probably Geneve. Made circa 1900. Fine and elegant, 18K gold, pearl and rose diamond-set, lady’s keyless pendant watch. Four-body, "bassine", the bezel set with seed pearls, the back cover entirely set with a pearl lattice highlighted with rose-cut diamonds. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions. Gilt Louis XV hands. 8 1/2’’’, matte gilt, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 24 mm. Notes The rose-cut diamonds enhance the pearls, giving a particularly beautiful sparkling effect.
