Made in a limited edition of 50 examples in 1991 especially for the Japanese market, to celebrate Switzerland’s 700th anniversary. Very fine and rare, asymmetric, astronomic, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round-button chronograph, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, perpetual calendar, moon phases and gold bezel with tachometer graduation. Back engraved “Schweiz – Suisse – Svizzera, 1291 – 1991, Speedmaster Perpetual” at the edge and “Maison Fondée en 1848” in the center. Accompanied by the original fitted box and instruction booklet. Three-body, solid, polished, gold bezel with tachometer graduation to 500 UPH, correctors in the band, lyre lugs, integral crown and pusher guard, screwed-down case back. Matte gilt with yellow gold baton indexes, subsidiary dials at 12 for the date with constant seconds; at 6 for the day of the week with 12-hour register; at 9 for month with 30-minute register and leap year indication; aperture for the moon phases at 3, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions. Black baton hands. Cal. 1160, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating fl at balance spring, micrometer regulator.
