GUARDIER DESK COMPENDIUM Guardier, “Four-Caster”, No. 296 Swiss. Made circa 1960. Fine, 8-day going, revolving gilt-brass desk compendium with alarm, hygrometer, barometer and thermometer. To be sold without reserve Cube-form, brushed and polished, the sides with dials for the clock, barometer, thermometer and hygrometer, revolving on a square base. Matte silver with applied gilt dart indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals, luminous dots. Luminous gilt baton hands. Nickel, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating fl at balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial signed Imexal. Dim. 9.5 x 9.5 x 9.5 cm.
