Extremely fine and rare, silver and gold, two-train, lever chronometer pocket watch with independent jump centerseconds and gold wheel train. Four-body, cast and chased decoration, the bezel with a Greek-key pattern, scalloped band, the back cover with a geometric pattern with border to match the bezel, the interior engraved with the technical details, gold hinges, thumb-piece, collar and stop-slide at 10. Glazed silverrimmed cuvette to view the movement. White enamel with radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. 20’’’, rhodium plated, 23 jewels, fausses cotes decoration, two trains with tandem winding, gold wheel train, straightline counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator with engraved scale on the main bridge. Dial and movement signed, dial plate also punched FP. Diam. 54 mm. Notes An extremely fi ne example of a watch with independent seconds. As would be expected of Fritz Piguet, the movement is very fi nely fi nished with gold wheel train and chronometergrade escapement. The case is unusually high-quality, very fi nely chased and with gold details.
