GOLD & ENAMEL SNUFF BOX AND WATCH Attributed to Jean-François Bautte, Geneva. Made circa 1800. Very fine and rare, 18K gold, painted on enamel and pearl-set pocket snuff box with integral watch. Rectangular, the center hinged compartment decorated with a painted on enamel portrait of a mother and child on a blue ground, pearl-set border, outer border overlaid with light blue enamel and engraved gold foliage with two applied gold putti, further compartment on the right with hinged lid decorated with an en grisaille oval panel of a putto with pearl-set border and decoration, to the left the watch with hinged cover decorated to match, the sides with white enamel vignettes depicting a rabbit, a swan, fl owers and a hunting dog surprising a duck, further light blue enamel and engraved gold swag and trophy decoration, the base decorated to match with a central white enamel vase of fl owers and two light lue enamel panels with engraved gold trophies, royal blue enamel border with gold repeat pattern. Circular white enamel with Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions, gold dial mask decorated with light blue enamel and gold engraved trophy and foliage to match the box. 25 x 10 mm., rectangular gilt with foliate engraved back plate, going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Case with incuse mark JB. Dim. 75 x 30 x 11 mm
