Very fine and rare, 18K gold and champlevé enamel hunting cased keyless lady’s pendant watch. Accompanied by the original Certificate of Origin, hang tag and Patek Philippe (Japan) service guarantee card, pouch and a booklet. Three-body, ‘demi-bassine’, engraved band and bow, both covers decorated with engraved scrolls on a translucent royal blue champlevé enamel background. White with radial Roman numerals. Black Louis XV hands. Cal. 215, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, stamped with the seal of Geneva quality mark, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance, adjusted to heat and cold, isochronism and fi ve positions, self compensating balance spring, shock absorber. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 33 mm. Notes This is the fi rst time this Ref. 885 enamel pendant watch has ever appeared at auction. Accompanied by its original hang tag, it is interesting to note that in 1983 it had an enormous retail price of 11,700,000 Yen (140,000 SFr. today), a price surprisingly close to that of the enamel dome clock, lot 595, which had a retail price of 12 million 800 thousand yen.
