Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with square button chronograph, register, tachometer and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, concave lugs, snap-on case back engraved: Samuel O. Morrison Aug. 11, 1882 Xmas 1945. Champagne with applied yellow gold Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5th second track, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register, outermost tachometer scale to 300 UPH. Yellow gold feuille hands. Notes Samuel Oliver Morrison was founder and chairman of the Sunroc Refrigeration Co. Inc. Established in 1935 and managed entirely by his family, with his wife as Executive Vice president, oldest son as President and treasurer, daughter as company secretary and youngest son as Vice President. The Sunroc Company reflects the traditional American dream that hard work gains rewards. After working 25 years in various positions in the restaurant business Sam's wife persuaded him to leave when she discovered an acquaintance was doing well selling natural spring water.
