Rolex Ref 3361, Yellow gold Aerodynamic Rolex, "Prince, Officially Certified Chronometer”, Ref. 3361. Made circa 1952. This reference was launched at the 1939 Swiss National Exhibition in Zurich. Very fine and rare, rectangular curved, asymmetrical, 18K yellow gold chronometer wristwatch. To be sold without reserve Two-body, shaped, solid, polished, bearing a cartouche on the front with a crown. Matte silver with applied yellow gold dart and pyramidal indexes. Yellow gold Dauphine hands. Notes Reference 3361 the asymmetrical Rolex Prince “Aerodynamic”, bears a cartouche in relief in which a monogram can be engraved if desired. When the watch is examined in profile, the difference in thickness between the top and of the bottom of the case becomes apparent. The present model has always been made in gold, never in stainless steel. It is called "Aerodynamic" in period advertising. The caliber 310 was produced between 1932 and 1938 and was of course also used in the late Prince models even in the 1950’s.
