Very fine and extremely rare, stainless steel wristwatch with square button chronograph, registers and tachometer, and a stainless steel Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Three-body, polished and brushed, stepped curved bezel, snap-on case back. Matte silver with applied steel Roman numerals and dots indexes, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer tachometer scale, concentric, 1/5th seconds graduation. Steel baton hands. Notes Ref. 130 Production of this reference started in 1934. It was made in stainless steel and yellow, pink and white gold. Only three are known in white gold and to the best of our knowledge fewer than 20 examples in stainless steel have been sold by Antiquorum over the past 20 years. It is one of the most desirable and sought-after sport watches ever created by the Patek Philippe firm. Sophisticated collectors appreciate this model’s perfect proportions, its large and clearly legible dial, encircled by a slender, concave bezel which gives the dial an even greater luminosity. Reference 130 usually has one button at 2 o'clock and another at 4 o'clock. Only a very few examples were made with a single button on the crown.
