Very fine, burr-walnut, kingwood and ebonised musical box playing four airs : Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody, Verdi’s La Traviata and Bizet’s Carmen. To be sold without reserve Rectangular with serpentine sides, veneered with burr-wanut and with kingwood inlay, ebonised molded lid and base, the interior with hinged glazed cover over the movement, tune sheet on the underside of the lid. 35 x 11 cm., brass bed, large going barrel with crank winding handle, 27 cm. pinned brass cylinder playing four airs on two tuned steel combs with 144 teeth, brass fly governor, tune indication on a brass scale, change/repeat and play/stop levers to the side. Movement signed.Dim. 52 x 22 x 15 cm. In excellent condition
