Diamond & Pearl Miniature Watch Swiss, case No. 25099. Made circa 1890. Very fine, 18K pink gold, enamel, pearl and diamond-set lady’s miniature keyless pendant watch with a gold and pearl-set detachable crown-form brooch. Four-body, split-pearl-set bezel, polished band, the back cover overlaid with translucent royal blue enamel over an engine-turned sunray ground, gold paillon decoration, the center set with a large old-cut round diamond, split-pearl-set outer border. Hinged white gold cuvette. White enamel with upright blue Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions. Gold Louis XVI hands. 8’’’, frosted gilt, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 22 mm. Notes At only 22 mm diameter, this watch is classed as a true miniature. It has been very well made and incorporates a large old-cut diamond. The cuvette is made of white gold so that the color of the diamond is not affected as it would have been by the use of a yellow gold cuvette
