Very fine and extremely rare, 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous 60-minute register using a central hand. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, bassine, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track and concentric chronograph ring with fifth of a second divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hour and minute hands, blued steel minute recording hand. 19’’’, rhodium plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 25 jewels, counterpoised and calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Split seconds chronograph with visible steel work, released by depressing the winding crown and with push piece in the band. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 53 mm. Notes This watch has the extremely rare feature of five co-axial hands - the minute and hour hands, the split-seconds chronograph hands, and the central instantaneous minute recording hand. Watches incorporating this feature are very rare and to our knowledge only two other examples of this type exist.
