English, 19th century. A mahogany almond form tea caddy with inlaid shell motif on lid within an almond shaped cartouche decorated with ebony line borders. Hinged lid opens to reveal two interior lidded compartments, each with an ivory knob, and front of box exhibits a teardrop shaped ivory keyhole lock. Approximately 4 5/8" tall x 8 1/8" wide x 4 5/8" deep.
