Patek Philippe amagnetic Ref. 3417 Patek Philippe, Genève, "Amagnetic", movement No. 728134, case No. 2618322, Ref. 3417. Made in 1957 (movement), sold on June 28th, 1962. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, amagnetic stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Two-body, polished, flat bezel, straight lugs, screwed-down case back, inner protection cap with steel securing washer. Silvered with applied steel baton indexes, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds dial. Steel baton hands. Cal. 12’’’400, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, bronze beryllium straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 10 mm. Notes Ref. 3417 Production of this reference started in 1958. The caliber 12'''- 400 was in production then, and some of the examples were Amagnetic like the present lot. The Amagnetic cal. 27-400 AM was launched in 1960. Amagnetic calibers are fitted with a bronze beryllium lever escapement and are protected by a soft iron cap. Similar watches are published in "Patek Philippe Wristwatches", by M.
