Fine, 18K gold, quarter-repeating, painted on enamel and rose-cut diamond-set triple-cased pocket watch. Outer: two-body with scalloped edges, glazed back, bezels in light green champlevé enamel with translucent red enamel flower and leaf decoration interspersed with rose-cut diamonds, rose-cut diamond-set thumbpieces. Middle: two-body, scalloped edge, back with painted with an Alpine scene with a distant lake view, translucent red border, bezels with opaque azure, white and red champlevé enamel, rose-cut diamond-set thumbpiece. Inner: two-body, “bassine”, the back decorated with a painted on enamel view of a ship at sea beneath a royal blue guilloche enamel sky, pierced foliate border intersected by enamelled rosettes and military trophies, red and white enamel decorated bow, the top of the pendant set with a large rose-cut diamond. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold arrow hands. 28 mm, gilt brass full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, one-footed cock pierced and engraved with foliage, diamond endstone, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate with Islamic numerals, repeating on a bell in the back of the case.
