Cartier Art Deco Style Cloc k Limited Edition Must de Cartier, No. 319/500. Made circa 1990. Fine, gilt-brass and black lacquer quartz desk clock with alarm, made in the style of the Art Deco clocks. To be sold without reserve Rectangular, polished with inlaid black lacquer in a zebraskin design, back with 4 screws and black cabochon-set buttons for the hand and alarm-setting, hinged handle and block feet. Matte white, radial black Roman numerals, secret signature at 7, inner minute track. Luminous gilt sword hands. With quartz standardization. Case and dial signed. Dim: 104 x 88 x 22.5 mm. Notes In the 1980s Cartier decided to revive the splendor of its finest Art Deco creations with these desk/alarm clocks. Among those re-created were the famous Basculante and Tryptyque clocks. All featured typical Art Deco forms, colors, and materials.
