Oiseau Chanteur, "rural Life" Eschle, Triberg (Black Forest). Made circa 1950. Fine and rare, gilt brass and painted on enamel singing bird box. Rectangular, gilt brass with foliate decoration, the top set with pearls and blue beads, printed polychrome enamel oval lid depicting a view of rural life, the inside painted with a bouquet of roses on a blue ground, winding key on the base, turned feet.
