Pair of Louis XV Style green paint and parcel gilt decorated bergeres or closed armchairs, each having an scrolled back with padded elbow rests over a shaped seat with removable cushion, above a shaped apron centered with flowerheads and raised on cabriole legs headed at the knee with foliage and terminating on scrolled toes, custom upholstered with fringe trim. Height 37", width 27.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 20.5", seat height 19". Provenance: Former catcher with the Chicago Cubs and one of Nashville's most prolific restaurateurs.
