Made circa 1910. Extremely fine and equally rare, five-minute and quarter repeating, 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch. Four-body, bassine, polished, semi-concealed hinge. Hinged cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. 20''', rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on two gongs with two hammers activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. Notes DIAM. 53 mm. This watch has a very rare and unusual form of repeating mechanism of which only a very few examples are known. In effect it is a quarter repeater with the addition of five-minute-repeating so that after the hours are struck the watch then repeats the quarters as usual but after that a further single blow is struck for each five-minutes after and between the quarters.
