Extremely fine, 18K yellow gold, minute-repeating, hunting- cased, keyless pocket watch with gold wheel train. Four-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette with inscription "Médailles aux Expositions Depuis 1806". White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 19''', matte gilt, 29 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, gold wheel train, straight line lever escapement with shepherd's crook counterpoise, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed by the retailer, movement and case numbered, case with punchmark 'B' in a shield for 'Brassus'. Notes DIAM. 52 mm. A high-grade minute repeating watch with gold wheel train, heavy-gauge case and perfect enamel dial. The movement exhibits the classic Louis Audemars features oft he shepherd’s crook counterpoise and recess in the repeat slide. The number 10916 corresponds to a date of circa 1870.
