Very fine and rare, large, minute-repeating, 18K gold, keyless pocket watch. Four-body, "bassine," polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel inscribed “Andrew Crawford Chicago”, with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, outer red Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. Notes The present watch is a large-size minute-repeater in very good condition. Andrew Crawford was a famous capitalist and for many years the western agent of Drexel, Morgan & Co. By the time of his death in 1900 he was earning the then enormous sum of $30,000 per annum
