PATEK PHILIPPE SOLAR CLOCK WITH PERPETUAL CALENDAR – ONE OF ONLY SIX KNOWN EXAMPLES Patek, Philippe, Genève, No. 874208, case No. 1893, Ref. 503. Made for the Italian market, circa 1968. Very fine and extremely rare, gilt brass, solar-powered desk clock with electrically powered remontoire and perpetual calendar. Rectangular, with brushed brass side and back panels, four square en suite columns, the top with solar cells, the back with an applied plaque engraved “A. Eber, 25-4-1969”. Silvered with painted black indexes, apertures for days of the week, date and months in Italian. Gilt baton hands. Notes The Reference 503 solar clock with perpetual calendar is exceptionally rare. To date, only six examples are known. The present clock presents the rare opportunity to acquire one of these elusive clocks.
