Fine and extremely rare, octagonal, tonneau-shaped, self-winding, water-resistant, 18k white gold wristwatch with date and an 18k white gold Audemars Piguet bracelet with deployant clasp. Accompanied by an Audemars Piguet Certificate of Origin. Two-body, polished and brushed, octagonal bezel set with 8 hexagonal nuts embanked in 8 screws on the case back, angled lugs, screwed-down winding crown, sapphire crystal. Anthracite, clous de Paris decoration, applied diamond indexes, aperture for the date. White gold baton hands. Cal. 2121, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 36 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating fl at balance-spring, 21K gold rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 39 x 47 mm. Thickness 7 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. Notes Always almost seen in either stainless steel or yellow gold, this example represents the rarest of the Jumbo's as it is cased in white gold as was the fi rst example ever sold to the Shah of Iran.
