ROLEX, REF. 1587, “JUMP-HOUR, PRINCE RAILWAY”, TWO-TONE GOLD Rolex "Prince Railway", Chronometer, No. 79085, case No. 9945, Ref. 1587. Glasgow import marks for 1933-34. Very fine and rare, rectangular 18K yellow and white gold gentleman's jump-hour wristwatch with a pink gold plated Rolex buckle. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, yellow and white gold stepped sides and recessed winding-crown, stamped on the inside of the back “25 World`s Records”. Matte silver with painted Arabic numerals for the minutes, subsidiary seconds dial, aperture for the jump-hours in red Arabic numerals. Blued steel hand. Notes This particular example represents the best and most collectable of the Prince line. Not only does it feature a wonderfully preserved case with strong angles and crisp numbers to the caseback but the original two-tone silver dial unlike many other Prince examples is still in mint condition.
