Created by Alain Silberstein in a limited edition of 50 examples in 1994 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "D-DAY", the landing of the Allies in Normandy in 1944, with exclusive perpetual movement by master watchmaker Svend Andersen. Fine and rare, center-seconds, self-winding, stainless steel wristwatch with perpetual calendar and Alain Silberstein stainless steel link bracelet. Accompanied by a fitted box, COSC and certificate. "Empire" style, two-body, solid, polished, screwed-down transparent case back, triangular-shaped winding crown in beige enamel inlay, sapphire crystal, straight lugs. black with white and red painted outer graduation for the date in Arabic numerals, the dedication and a star. "Triangular and Bâton" tritium-coated red and blue colored hour and minute hands, "Serpentine" yellow hand for the center-seconds. On the back, off-centered matte silver dial with indication of the months for four years and the leap years in black and red Arabic numerals and writing. Exclusive movement based on Cal. 2892-2 made by Svend Andersen, rhodium-plated, "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating fl at balance-spring, gilt brass rotor.
