Hexagonal base engraved with scrolls and foliage, pierced for striking bell, two gilt bronze fi gures of St. Mary and St. John at the foot of the Cross, skull-form button to chime the hours on demand, cross bearing bronze fi gure of Jesus with a rotating sphere and single hand indicating the time. Copper strap applied to the rotating sphere, Roman numerals, half-hour divisions. Set in the base of the cross, 57 mm, gilt brass plates, verge escapement, turned baluster pillars, fi nely pierced and engraved spring barrels and cock. Movement signed. Dim.
