HERMÈS REF. 181 PENDULETTE BOULE Hermès, Paris, the movement by Jaeger-LeCoultre, Ref. 181. Made circa 1940. Fine and unusual, gilt brass 8-day going table clock with leather base, probably designed by Paul Dupré-Lafon. Gilt brass dome case, fl at bezel, winding and handsetting crown at 6, separate circular compressed leather base. Brushed copper-colored with black painted radial Arabic numerals, inner minute track, central points of the compass design. Black Breguet hands. Rhodium plated, large going barrel, straight line lever escapement on a brass platform, monometallic balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Base signed. Diam. 12 cm. Notes It is thought that only about 50 pieces of this model were made.
