MINIATURE SILVER CARRIAGE CLOCK “CARYATIDES” French. Made circa 1890. Fine, silver, miniature, Renaissance-style, 8-day going carriage clock. To be sold without reserve Silver with cast caryatids at each corner, profusely decorated with high-relief foliage and masks in the Renaissance style, the sides set with painted on enamel panels of young ladies in classical dress, glazed top for viewing the escapement. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel spade hands. Matte gilt brass rectangular with going barrel, platform cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 78 x 53 x 48 mm., excluding the handle.
